Mariah Carey joins American Idol Season 12 judges

Mariah Carey is reportedly named as the new judge for American Idol Season 12. She will be replacing Jennifer Lopez's seat.

The singer was happy to announced it on her official twitter, saying “It’s gonna be so much fun working on @AmericanIdol. As a singer-songwriter, I’m excited to help find and nurture new talent.”

The last judge standing Randy Jackson will be joining her in the judging panel. The question is, who will take Steven Tyler's seat for the next season?
